  • Welcome to my blog!

This is the place to check out all the latest news and images from Simon Buck Photography. Regular updates will include samples of the photos from recent commissions, business news and any general points of interest relevant to my work.

My old website used to feature a wide range of work from weddings to PR to commercial to surfing to travel. Having now split my business and launched a new website focused primarily on social photography the blog will also give me a chance to exhibit this variety of work once again. Of course weddings and portraiture will play a large part but when I have some particularly juicy surf photos, cool landscapes or interesting PR & editorial shots I'll be putting them up on here as well.

I love to hear your opinions so please feel free to add your comments to the relevant posts. Keep checking back when you can or subscribe for automatic updates straight to your email.

    Thanks and enjoy,

    Simon

Letitia & Nick’s Suffolk pre-wedding session

I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding a Henstead church in Suffolk so am really looking forward to shooting Letitia and Nick’s day later this summer. It’s a picturesque setting and always has a great display of daffodils thanks largely to Letitia’s grandfather who was instrumental in their planting many years ago.

After we’d finished a whistle-stop shoot at the church we headed for the coast and the perennial favourite location of Southwold. This remains a great place for pre-wedding photography with the pier, beach and town all offering typical Suffolk seaside loveliness.

Bev & Steve’s Wedding at Cley Mill, Norfolk

We had a great day of unseasonably warm sunshine for Bev and Steve’s wedding at Cley Mill on the North Norfolk coast at the start of March. The glorious weather allowed us the chance to explore the beach for some post-ceremony portraits.

Norfolk pre wedding photography – down on the farm with Lorna & Will

Lorna and Will are old friends, I first met Will on a surf trip with some mutual mates years ago and, through sheer coincidence, photographed Lorna’s sister’s wedding just after starting my business.

Since then our paths have crossed at several more weddings of shared acquaintances so it’s a huge pleasure to have been asked to shoot their own big day later this April.

As both Lorna & Will are from agricultural backgrounds they chose to explore Will’s family farm in south Norfolk as the backdrop for their pictures. It was a really fun couple of hours and we got some nice rurally, farmy* feeling pictures.

*I’m aware that “farmy” isn’t a real word but you know what I mean?…
