Catherine & Ashley’s wedding at All Saints, Wreningham and Blo Norton Hall, Norfolk 31st July 2010

This summer’s been a bit up-and-down with regard to the weather and a couple of Saturdays ago was no exception. Drizzle, downpours, bright haze and a few rumbles of thunder here and there kept us guessing for the day of Catherine and Ashley’s wedding. Luckily the rain stopped when it needed to, for both Catherine’s arrival at the church and the duration of the afternoon reception at the the magical Blo Norton Hall. We made the most of the unspoiled grounds which seemed to be a haven for all kinds of wildlife including a resident flycatcher nesting in the walls. This is the first large scale wedding to be held at this impressive Elizabethan manor just southwest of Diss and proved the perfect setting for this classic English, countryside wedding.

I was rather dreading Simon arriving at the house before the wedding, but he put us at our ease and in the short time before the wedding I learned more about how to be photographed than in a lifetime! He was extremely supportive, fun to be with and as you will have seen took some great pictures.
Thanks Simon. You contributed to our fantastic day and you are part of our many happy memories.

Looking through these pictures brought tears to my eyes once again. They are beautiful, and will be treasured. You were so much fun and captured some wonderful moments.

Thanks Simon.
