Amy & Pete get married in Edgefield, Norfolk

It was an absolute scorcher for Amy and Peter’s rustic wedding in Edgefield on the 26th June. My day started with a visit to Amy’s dad’s house in Suton to capture the buzz and madness of the bridal party preparations. After this it was on to St Peter and St Paul Church in Edgefield to meet Pete and the boys for the service. Afterwards we got the chance to use an impressive old oak in the churchyard as the backdrop for some intimate portraits before heading to Pete’s family farm just around the corner. Amy and Pete had hired the lovely Jennifer Garnham of Ruffles Events to help plan and oversee their day. This was great news as I know that her passion for the job and dedication to her clients is unrivalled. The barn and marquee looked fantastic and exhibited a genuine country charm. The addition of a host of vintage farm machinery displayed in the adjoining paddock topped it off a treat. I was desperate to capture the essence of their summery, countryside theme so we headed to a hay meadow opposite the farm for some portraits. As luck would have it this turned out to be a perfect location, even down to presenting us with a view back towards the church. I already think I have the best job in the world and days like this are the icing on the cake! As for Amy and Pete they couldn’t stop smiling the whole day, a pretty good sign that they were happy with how it all went!
