Sadie and Justin get married at Sussex Barn, Burnham Market, Norfolk

The summer wedding season has well and truly kicked off now and I’ve been travelling all over the region to cover some great weddings. Combine this with my recent move away from Canon to Nikon equipment and all the technical re-learnings that have ensued I’ve been a very busy chap.

I had the pleasure of being asked to shoot for Sadie and Justin at their wedding at Sussex Barn (on Sussex Farm) at Burnham Market a couple of weeks ago. You may recall they were the “lollipop couple” from a few posts back and they’re a great, fun couple who are big fans of photography. Justin’s family had travelled all the way from Australia for the big day and Sadie’s had ventured from the badlands of Cambridgeshire. Despite some tricky weather we dodged showers and managed to get some  cool, editorial style shots using the old buildings around Sussex Farm. I can never stress how much the attitude of the couple affects the outcome of my photos. The more open to ideas they are the greater the chance of coming up with imagery unique to them and their day. You can only achieve this when you’ve earned the client’s trust, something I work hard at achieving. Sadie and Justin are exactly the type of couple I’m trying to attract and I think it shows in the results.
